Some people make the error living too much in the spiritual world at the expense of their responsibilities ordinary life. The overwhelming majority of us are not called to live as hermits but to bring the Gospel to everyday boring old ordinary life. It seems this is one reason we count the liturgical years in weeks of ordinary time because that is where we spend most of our life, and that’s good. We grow as His disciple in how we react to normal life rather than in the “mountain top” experiences.
Paul writes in Colossians 3:17 “Whatever you do in word or work, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”
Be an amazing disciple in the ordinary to bring His light to the nations.
